At a Glance
- Return window: You may return most new, unopened items within 5 days of delivery for a refund.
- Our error: If you received an incorrect or defective item, we cover the return shipping.
- Pre-shipment refunds: You may request a refund before your order ships for any reason. Payment-processor fees may apply.
- Processing time: Refunds are issued as quickly as possible, typically within 4 weeks from the day you hand the package to the return carrier.
Eligibility for returns
To qualify for a return, items must be:
- New, unopened, and in original packaging
- Unused and in resellable condition
- Returned within 5 days of the delivery date shown on the carrier’s tracking
How to start a return
- Contact us at hello@electrumink.com with your order number, the item you wish to return, and the reason.
- We will reply quickly with return instructions and an RMA if approved.
- Pack items securely in the original packaging. Include all components and the RMA number inside the box.
- Ship the return using the label provided by us if the error is ours, or your preferred carrier if not.
If the return is due to our error, we supply a prepaid label. Otherwise, return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.
Refund timing
You should expect your refund within 4 weeks of giving the package to the return carrier. This estimate includes:
- 5–10 business days transit time to us
- 3–5 business days for inspection and processing
- 5–10 business days for your bank to post the credit
We often complete refunds sooner.
What is refunded
- Product price: Refunded once your return is approved.
- Original shipping: Not refundable unless the return is due to our error.
- Payment-processor fees: If you cancel before shipment, or a refund is issued to an unshipped order, please note that third-party processor fees (for example, PayPal) are non-reversible and will be deducted from the refund since they are not returned to us by the processor. This also applies to chargebacks or canceled orders due to suspected fraud.
Damaged, defective, or incorrect items
If your order is damaged in transit, arrives defective, or you received the wrong item:
- Contact us within 5 days of delivery at hello@electrumink.com
- Include your order number, photos of the packaging and the item, and a brief description
- We will make it right with a replacement or a refund and provide a prepaid return label when required
Exchanges
If you need to exchange an unopened item for the same product, contact us within 5 days of delivery. We will confirm availability and next steps.
International orders
Duties, taxes, and import fees are collected by the carrier or customs and are not refundable. For international returns, choose a tracked service and mark the package as a return.
Purchased through a distributor
If you purchased Electrum products from an authorized distributor, please contact the distributor directly. Their return and refund policies apply.
